I think it's fine to give away or sell stuff here.

If I offer something for sale here, the price is always below eBay and I'm purposely offering it here first because I know it will be of interest to some listmembers. I can think of only one or two times where I've offered something for give-away or sale and it didn't quickly leave the building en route to a new home. I'm happy to refrain from offering if it so offends some. We have a dumpster at the office, so I can toss all this stuff and no one ever know it was there for the taking. I just don't see the sense in sending things to the landfill that others may want. I've been on the receiving end enough times in my life to know how good it feels to get something that's of use to you for little or no cost.
