Most of the phonographs pictured didn't look in very good shape, but it's good that this guy amassed
them and saved some from dumpsters. I love the detail about the three-wheeler.
Also, although I prefer collecting to accumulating, this man hoarded and accumulated interesting
antique items (the record- and cylinder-players) and at least some interesting and antique grooved
media. I've been in a couple of houses stuffed with old players and records and the smell of old
wood, old metal, old motor grease, shellac, old paper and dust is unique and somewhat comforting.
It's ruined if there's an added flavor of mildew or cat piss.
