Aloha, from one of the five pinheads in Hawaii on the ARSC members location map:
I realize last month's conference in Rochester is a distant memory for some of us. And many of you might not remember the SRO assembly for the last presentation on Saturday which involved the fading classical music seen. I apologize that the Rochester fire marshall had to turn so many of you away, but one urgent request remains on my to do list:
Does anyone know of existent copies of the Musical Heritage Society's 1967, 1968 and 1970 member catalogs? In 1969 the catalog was still entitled "Your Guide to Great Music on Musical Heritage Society Recordings." By 1971 its title had changed to "MHS Treasures of Great Music: 1971 Catalog."
WorldCat lists the Chicago Public Library as carrying a run of the series, but not so. They have only the 1969 catalog, which I already own.
Could some great "saver of all things music related" come to my rescue? I'm trying to date Ernst Märzendorfer's Haydn cycle and receiving almost no help from the friendly family that currently owns the MHS operation.
