Hi Chris,
I regularly post on Mudcat - the response is underwhelming!
Perhaps younger people who don't have LPs, and little focus on recordings and discography. There are older
Mudcat members who might have information, perhaps not interested, rarely respond to my queries.
I think there is a need for collectors to think seriously about developing an online database (like 78discography)
for EVERYTHING! So much information is evaporating, and may be irretrievably lost.
A while ago I compiled a Martha Schlamme discography and had great difficulty obtaining any reliable data (dates)
for her 78rpm releases. A couple of the Jewish Archives were helpful. Almost everyone from the 40's early 50's
little companies is dead.
Thanks to all those on 78L and ARSC list who are eager and generous in providing data!
Best wishes, Thomas.
