Aloha Alex,
One of RHA's interns turned up the following, let me know if it is of help.
"I believe I've tracked down the Issue Nos. for these recordings and, while
they're not in the RHA card catalog (the cards for "OR series" recordings
go from OR 180s to OR 250s, conveniently skipping our buddy Haydn), it
looks like they're all findable online.
Here's a link to the
search<http://catalog.nypl.org/search~S1/?searchtype=X&searcharg=Joseph+Haydn%2C+Ernst+M%C3%A4rzendorfer&searchscope=61&sortdropdown=-&SORT=DZ&extended=0&SUBMIT=Search&searchlimits=&searchorigarg=XJoseph+Haydn%2C+Ernst+M%7Bu00E4%7Drzendorfer%26SORT%3DD>
that
-- I think -- displays most of the Haydn cycle Mr. McGehee is trying to
date.
The dates given in our online catalog are sketchy, but the I looked in our
paper MHS catalogs and supplements, and found the first appearance of Issue
Nos. OR H-201 through OR H-206 and OR H-219 through OR H-225 in the 1969
catalog (probably the same one Mr. McGehee owns already?). Our copy of the
MHS Catalog Supplement from December 1969-December 1970 features all the
Haydn recordings, with the following information:
*"The Complete Symphonies (107 altogether) on 49 Stereo LP Records, OR
H-201 thru OR H-249 Issued thru December, 1970: 31 records as in catalog &
supplement. Price $2.99 per record."*
