Thanks, Dan. There's a term for what's been going on with the Victor
website. I don't like to drop high level, technical jargon into these
discussions, but the term starts with the letters "clusterf."
Three weeks ago our UCSB server crashed while a new one was in the middle
of being built. Our underlying database is now back in operation and the
website is up, but the Names table of the website remains inaccessible. It
will be accessible someday, but I can't predict when. Some aspects of the
handling of this problem have been shockingly irresponsible.
You should be able to use the Title search layout, as well as the Basic
cross-index search layout (my favorite), and the one for Discs. All details
of the matrix display, including all names associated with a master, are
visible. Right now you just can't see a list of all recordings made by one
We appreciate everyone's patience. I'll post a note to the list when
everything is resolved.
