Dear all,
We in TS-EAD have watched this thread with interest as we are reviewing how date encoding works as part of the EAD revision. Many thanks to Saa¹ha for pointing EDTF out to us in this context and we are evaluating it as part of the detailed work currently being undertaken.
Yours

Hello!
Reading this thread, it seems that we could investigate the possibilities
of including EDTF in some EAD attributes in the next version of EAD. EDTF
can express intervals and approximate dates, including proleptic Gregorian
dates. A link to EDTF is:

Regards!
