The American Radio Archives has a few scripts from this program, also titled, "Bekins Hollywood Music Hall" in our KNX collection. We were unable to find full information on the series, but our holdings cover March to June 1958, Sundays.
The LA Times lists the show only a few times in Radio RoundUp, from 5-5:30pm Sundays 1953-1958, it sometimes lists simply as "Hollywood Music Hall. I am almost certain that 1958 was the final year of the radio series, but it may have begun before 1953.
Daily Variety shows that Bekins first aired the Hollywood Music Hall on KTLA TV Dec. 4, 1953. The article notes that Bekins had, "the distinction of being the first video show to emanate from a picture studio" as it aired from Paramount. So apparently it was on TV as well, for a time.
This was a musical variety program where prominent artists "re-live exciting moments in their careers." CBS broadcast the program, which also ran on AFRS. The scripts we have were directed and written by Bill Ward, the announcer was Dan Cubberly, and the host was Hugh Douglas.
Hope that helps
