Hello Uncle Dave,
Would you provide a copy of your list?
What numbers are missing?
There was a SAMPLER UNSR-2
and a Peter Bartok AUTOMOBILE: The Sounds of 50 Years UDS-1
Best wishes, Thomas.

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Jazz on Unicorn 1950s label
I ran into an article about the first launch of Boston-based label Unicorn
Records from the Palm Beach Daily News in December 1954. In addition to
their program of recording rare and new classical music --
with which we are mostly familiar -- and comedy, of which I can only find
two releases from the opposite ends of their existence, the article said
that Unicorn was also undertaking a program of recording jazz.
I have never encountered any jazz on Unicorn. But I do note that there are
vacant numbers in the line listing I have created for the label that so far
I haven't been able to fill in. Does anyone know of jazz
recordings on Unicorn, and what would the stock numbers be?
Of course, I am not referring to the British label Unicorn-Kanchana, nor
the UK label Unicorn that marketed Ska recordings, nor another American
Unicorn that was a division of MCA in the early 1980s.
This label was based out of Boston and lasted from 1954 to roughly 1961.
