I have inherited about 100 cassettes in boxes. They were used for
recording a record collection and then mostly sat on the shelf. When my
Dad and Stepmom downsized to their retirement resort, they weren't going
to take the 78s and LPs and the turntable, so my Dad copied more than
they ever listened to. He also was very frugal so things are split
between tapes. There is an index, but I'm not going to provide that. I
don't think these were ever used in the car.
So, if you need these for re-shelling or whatever, that's great. Since
you don't know what's on them and how they split, I don't think they're
very useful for listening and the recording quality was sub-optimum anyway.
They are free for pickup in Aurora Ontario or you arrange shipping. I
really don't want to pack them for shipping and they are heavy. I
brought them up in a too-heavy box. If I receive no responses, the bulk
of them will probably go out for the trash pickup on August 22nd.
I will give ARSC a few days to answer and then I'll put the same offer
on Kijiji and Craigslist.
Cheers,
Richard
