Ah, but there is no reason there couldn't be a heading for gay interior
decorators. That is why the PCC has the SACO program, to provide a means
for libraries and archives outside of LC to make proposals for new subject
headings. We recently made one for "Gay deacons" and another is coming up
on a monthly list for "Gay ocean liner passengers". I encourage all of
catalogers to submit proposals for needed terms rather than settling for
something too broad or inexact.
