Video? I do more than 100 formats combined (audio, video, and film).
It's just putting to good use my collection of machines. LOL. Actually
my wife is getting a bit sick of all the equipment and oddly enough so
do I. I also wonder if it's the location. Israel has many different
climates so I doubt it. Could it be that the oldest tapes here are
usually 15-18 years old?
As for DAT tapes baking an AMPEX is odd. Those are usually the best I
come across, with TDK being the worst and Fuji also pretty crappy.
U-matics are actually very easy to deal with. Something on the line of
bake, clean, transfer, good bye. Just add a good player.
