This is temporary. They need to be migrated to new media quickly. The
window may be as short as 2 weeks before break down returns.

I had some 8mm with a shot of my grandmother that I wanted to have a
print made from. I took it to a pro lab and they were able to do it, I
believe, by treating it as any other film on whatever hardware they used
at the time. The resolution is as low as 8mm can be, but the image is
preserved. The film itself had many ripped sprocket holes.
