I first encountered this recording on a Westminster Lp when they were
pressing Discofil material. I obtained a stereo Lp sometime in the 70s.
Frankly, I'm not sure I ever acquired the CD conversion. In any event, it's
a pleasure to compliment those who had a hand in the recording and its
successful playback. Not only is the back story enterprising but, as you
say, the result was exceptional and still sounds fresh as paint. I'm not
surprised that omnidirectional Neumanns were employed as the audible result
is fully consistent with my own experience with them. Kudos!
