Perhaps this explains why the worst (in my opinion) of Cathy Carr's LPs, "Shy", had an absolutely gorgeous sounding reissue in Japan earlier this year, while her earlier King and Fraternity work and later RCA Victor standards albums languish in vaults somewhere - it's awfully syrupy pop, with Roulette having a 35 year old woman singing about boys at school.
BTW, it was one of these RCA albums of standards that I was talking about a while back when I was asking for Dynagroove transfer tips. Believe me, if it was available on CD I'd have bought it long ago! Both her Victor LPs fit on one CD…
