A friend of mine is looking for some information - can anyone here help him with this?
At the start of each Fall semester, I give a "Pick-A-Recording-You-Find-Compelling-For-Its-Production-Value-And-Be-Prepared-To-Say-Why" assignment to my recording students.
As my contribution to this year's potluck, I'm going to play selections from RCA's Living Stereo album "Cool Water - Sons of the Pioneers" which still sounds fresh and fabulous 53 years after the fact.
To enhance my submission, I'm looking for information on the technical set-up for this or other Living Stereo sessions. So far, I haven't found much.
There's a bit of historical info in the liner notes but no real details on the gear, the space or the positioning.
Anybody's uncle or grandma tell stories of those sessions?
