I sometimes read on this list about unwanted collections of LPs that
are looking for homes, so I thought I'd pass along this plea from
Jerry Cimino of the Beat Museum. You won't get anything beyond a tax
deduction letter, but it's better than trashing them (and I have met
Jerry and he seems to be a nice guy who is unbelievably dedicated to
the Beat legacy of Kerouac, et al).

GIVE US YOUR, TIRED, YOUR WORN, YOUR SCRATCHED!
In case you missed it last time, we recently stumbled into a new
revenue stream that, WITH YOUR ASSISTANCE, is going to help us pay our
rent every month. We’re now in the record business!
See, a friend donated a truck full of old LPs to us and we started
selling them out of the front of our museum gift shop and they’re
flying out of here. And who is buying them? Eighteen year old kids.
They love the sound of vinyl! Who knew?
BAY AREA: Help us pay our rent by donating your old vinyl to us so we
can resell them to your grandchildren. C’mon, you know you haven’t
thought about those LPs you’ve had stored in your attic or garage for
twenty years.
HIGHLIGHTS
1). We’ll come pick them up from you anywhere in The Bay Area
2). We’ll give you an IRS approved tax deductible letter for the full value
3). You’ll free up lots of space so you can accumulate other stuff
