The 8000/9000 are for 6 cm wide film as well as 35, but, to the best of
my knowledge there is no robotic feeder for 35 mm with that unit, so it
comes down to doing only a few at a time. While the 8000/9000 has more
pixels, I don't think it has any more than the 5000 (and 4000) over the
35 mm area. The 5000 scans the short dimension of the 35 mm transparency
at 4000 dpi.
