Thanks for mentioning the info from Nortronics.
Please look at this

which shows a less=pretty picture by a small amount.
Overall, it should not make a major difference. Machine-to-machine
differences probably outweigh the slight difference between the
"Philips" stereo track and the TASCAM 4-track.
