Excellent Tom. Couldn't have written it better myself (probably worse
with my English). My Converters have a factory setting of +4dBm=-15dBfs.
And even that with classical is sometimes not enough for me. With 24
bits I would even go to the old forgotten -18dBfs (early Sony DAT). It
was abandoned almost overnight in the 16 bit world.
Is anyone here using the bitstream system (DSD)? Are there other
considerations when it is employed (this is OT I know).
