I still love listening to the LBJ Ranch LP. Those were done by Earle Doud and Alen Robin. Doud was in the cast of "The First Family." The Doud/Robin political LPs became a cottage industry. By the time 1972 rolled around, they were getting kind of raunchy and freewheeling. Robin by himself produced "Funny Farm," which had Nixon, Rockefeller, Humphrey, McGovern, Agnew, et. al. arguing with each other. The premise was Alen Robin was a psychiatrist seeing Nixon, while the other politicians barged into the session. It's a riot. They would take snippet of one of them saying something - such as Humphrey saying "really naked" and then just run with it. Looped endlessly over and over again. I remember falling on the floor, laughing. Somehow, they got Nixon to say all sorts of things, like "Kiss my behind," "But I DO think" etc. It's on Courage Records if you can ever find it.
As a matter of fact, here it is!

One of my favorites is "Welcome to the LBJ Ranch," which used taped excerpts of LBJ as answers to "questions" from "the press" as performed to a live audience.
