If I recall correctly, these two majors sold their studios piece by piece.
For instance, in Montreal RCA got out of the studio business early in 1977.
RCA Toronto shut down in 1979. In the other major cities, they shut them
down one by one. I believe RCA Nashville shut down circa 1977. Columbia
sold 30th street complex in 1982.
