Bill, thanks for posting that AES link. I always thought the stereo sounded strange because it's not
really "Ballroom stereo" in that the room reverb and "size" stays the same. Very clever what they
did. I those days, you got more $$ for a stereo LP, so if people were calling for it, it was well
worth the effort to get it in the marketplace. Both the record company and the retailer made a few
more cents per platter if it said "STEREO" on the cover in 1962.
