Please note that Peter K. Burkowitz has died on June 29th, 2012, age 91, just a few days before his 92th birthday.

I had the honour to be editor of his last interview book on his "80 Years of Sound Recording" (he startet at age 12 in 1932) where he also describes his professional engagement and work at DGG, Polydor and Polygram since 1946.

This book title as his last rememberings (at 91) are available as an DRM-free eBook, e.g. here:
