For real time processing (Like the Cedar hardware) the v2 of RX works
equally well if not better than the original Cedar hardware. Just open the
desired plugins (DeClick/DeCrackle, DeHummer and Denoiser) and pass the
audio through the mixing desk. I've never checked to see if the RX
standalone application will process a live input. For the cost of the one
module of the Cedar hardware you can buy a PC, the RX advanced software and
a decent sound card.
However, if you are loading these discs into the computer, the offline
processing works significantly better. The RX realtime plugin has some
artifacts that go away when using the offline version.
