I'm cataloging a 1917 Columbia "E-Series" disc by Syrian tenor Nahem (alt.
Nahum) Simon. The only authority record by this name is from a 1977 LP
titled "Old-Country Music in a New Land". The recording on that disc is
ostensibly a reissue of a 1955 recording issued on Standard F-17006.
It's side 2, band 6.

I'd like to say it's the same person, but the timeline seems improbable.
EMOR has him recording for Victor and Columbia until 1928. Is there any
chance that the Standard disc was itself a reissue? I can't find the title
in EMOR, but the style, mawwal, is the same, and EMOR isn't comprehensive.
Is this maybe a common Syrian/Arabic name? Any insight would be appreciated.
