Any help for my friends Billy and Miriam at Norton Records would be appreciated. Please write me off list and I will forward the infp. If mobile in the Brooklyn area, they need help transporting the soaked recordings and also need help going through the soaked boxes of recordings. Anyone who wants to offer their knowledge base of saving flooded records, books and posters, that would be appreciated as well. Much of the warehouse contents was modern pressings of old material, some never released previously by such artists as Sun Ra, Esquerita, Hasel Atkins, Link Wray, The Sonics, etc., BUT also included many unique out of print pressings from other sources, rare original vintage books and original vintage music related posters going back over 60 years. Also, you can help by purchasing some of their new records or books(by Harlan Ellison and Kim Fowley) or comic books which were still at the pressing plant or press. goto http://www.nortonrecords.com and check out their listings of the true roots of Rock, Soul, and Modern Jazz too. Ironically, I would be out there working myself if my plane wasn't cancelled for my long planned trip on Monday night. Notice that the WFMU record fair is cancelled for this weekend, check with them when it will be rescheduled. Thanks for any help!
