That sounds a fairly sensible approach, actually. Although I don't think
it would make any difference to a machine parsing the field.

Subject: Re: [PCCLIST] Order of subfields in 37X authority records in
RDA
There is an example in DCM, Z1:
DCM, Z1, 046:
372 ## $a Industrial relations $2 lcsh $v Lazzarini, Sergio G.
CV-English, viewed Feb. 22, 2012 $u
http://www.sergiolazzarini.insper.edu.br/indexelazza.html
with a sequence of |a-|2-|v-|u. Then, our PCC Liaison recently
double-checked with LC whether this example is prescriptive of the
placement order of subfields under authority fields 372-374. A response
from LC dated Nov. 13, 2012 was:
Subfield $2, if coded, should precede subfield $v or a
combination of subfield $v + $u. ... Aside from that,
there is no guidance on placement. I always put the
subfield $2 after the last element to which it applies,
and before any subfield $s or $t:
372 $a Biotechnology $a Genetic engineering $2 lcsh $s 2008
not:
372 $a Biotechnology $a Genetic engineering $s 2008 $2 lcsh
