Dear Michael,
Thank you for correcting the spelling of your first name. This reminds me that I once wrote "Harvard" for "Havard", and that Havard accepted my excuses and added that my misspelling was by far not the worse he had received.
I understand that the use of the exonym "Araucano" (and so, of the code element "arn" to represent the vernacular name of language "Mapudungun") can be offensive; but this does not really give the real reason for this situation.
