I just found a 7" home recording record of what may be Wendell Wilkie's concession speech, from November 5,1940.Says "pep talk" on label. It was either recorded off of KGO in San Francisco,or it actually belonged to them.I think some radio stations sometimes used home recording blanks back then. The record is quite clean, but even so it's barely audible.Label is blue with white lettering.and says "DEMONSTRATOR" "HOME RECORDING DISC" "NOT TO BE SOLD".
Are there better copies of this speech around?
