Yeah, Dan Shanefield. The other guy in denial. I ran across him once at an
AES convention and he refused to speak to me.

As stated, The Wood Effect recounts no fewer than 81 testimonials
(including DBTs!) to the audibility of polarity. And then along comes Dan
Shanefield.

The best summary of the situation was offered by John Roberts in the April
1983 Recording engineer/producer: "Absolute Polarity is an interesting
example of a phenomenon that only a few claim to hear and the vast majority
of those who don't hear the effect doubt the opinion of those who do."
