Thanks for the heads up, Tom. This looks like another great set. Two
thoughts: I guess there is little hope for a set of the pre-stereo mono
Mercury LP's, which would contain a number of treasures, and I sure wish
they would do a set of the previously released Mercury SACD's. If that has
occurred, I have missed it. Only a handful of the latter can still be
found now, and they don't come up on Ebay very often. Starker's SACD's
seem to still be around, and one or two more, like the wonderful Balalaika
SACD. I bought a bunch of them when they first came out but wish now I had
got them all. I don't even have a list of all of them that were issued.
The Mercury SACD's are great because many of them (all?) give us the
unmixed original three channels, as with most of the RCA Living Stereo
SACD's. That's as close as we are ever going to get to the original master
tapes.
