Being limited in budget and time, I could be jealous of all of you who can buy and support these many glorious reissues. One hopes for a resurgence in classical CD music that will be there for many in the years to come. However, thanks to the cues I've come to enjoy as a ARSCLIST member from all of you experts in the broad field of recorded music, I will continue to "cherry pick" as I find the money from the SACD RCA "Living Stereo" series, a truly golden treasure trove. Right now, I play and replay the ten that I possess enjoying over and over the joy of having an ironic "Living" orchestra at my command. They really did things right then. Also, I was able to purchase the earlier EMI box set which I now can't get back from my daughter! Not to diminish Tom's family's accomplishments, I've also picked up some of the individual "Living Presence" reissues that I've found touted here, and happily added them to my CD library as I continue to sell
off my beloved reel to reel collection to pay for the shift from one past format to a newer "Living" one. One that gives me a clearer enjoyment of the "sounds of yesterday". No, they're not dead, they rise again! What a blessing this all is. You've all helped me enjoy my retirement years with improved musical wealth and rebirth in high sampling rates, multi-channel sound and definition. Thanks a lot. As the saying goes, "From one satisfied customer".
