Unless I am mistaken, Pablo recordings are manufactured and distributed
these days by Fantasy on their OJC label.
Maybe MHS leased some of the Pablo masters from Fantasy???

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Pablo Records and Musical Heritage Society
I was recently given a bunch of Pablo jazz albums issued by Musical Heritage
Society. Does anyone have details on how that worked? Why would MHS produce
their own master and pressing, and sleeve that was white with the original
Pablo graphics in a small portion of the front cover? Are these pressings
considered better, worse or same as Pablo's originals? What was in this deal
for Pablo and MHS? What I can't understand is, what's the business model of
making a separate master, pressing and sleeve? Why not just re-sell the
Pablo albums via the MHS mail-order business? Did any other jazz labels
lease dozens of titles like Pablo?
