An interesting idea that would mean creating a new set of procedures that I'm not prepared to tackle just yet. [..] But I would have to know that there was some action that would be taken with the information, not just "oh, isn't that interesting".
Gee, sounds familiar. Most of the momentum for RDA and Bibframe is based on "someone might do something interesting with our records sometime if we reformat them." No matter that a great many libraries aren't willing or able to tackle this on such a speculative basis.
