I don't generate the collection identifies for DSpace, so they have nothing to do with with finding aids (and are essentially random). For example, the DSpace URL for our MSS 109, George S. Messersmith papers, is http://udspace.udel.edu/handle/19716/5973 with "5973" as the part that identifies that specific collection.
The XML in our finding aid uses the collection's actual identifier and looks like: <eadid identifier="mss0109.xml">. If I need to encode the DSpace identifier (in this case "5973") in the finding aid someplace, where would it go?
