There are two jazz and blues brick-and-mortar shops in St. Louis- Slotnikoff
and another. They have (had?) display ads in the yellow pages. Those guys
know everyone in town. Since you speak jazz-talk and may buy a record or so
from time to time, they're pretty friendly if you set up a chat with them.
As to a guide, there are often local presses who publish such things. The
folks above will know.
See you in Kansas City.

I expect to be in St. Louis in May, prior to the ARSC conference in Kansas
City.
(a) Are there any record shops in that area?
(b) I need a guide to the history of Black St. Louis from the ragtime era
onwards. Are there any tours, or knowledgeable contacts?
Thanks
Rainer
