Let me ask what may be a naive question. Since Bibframe is being developed for the use of several very different players in the bibliographic "industries" and needs to be backward compatible with several competing bib schemes including AACR2/MARC, will there be anything preventing libraries from continuing to use AACR2 for the foreseeable future? Lots of us have no plans to switch to RDA anytime soon due to economic considerations, intellectual distain, or whatever. So, again, if Bibframe is setup originally to deal with AACR2/MARC as it needs to be then wouldn't it be able to successfully handle it in the future be it through crosswalks or directly?
