The U.S. Military Academy Library is seeking a liaison librarian to help
provide academic library support to cadets, faculty, and staff. We are
specifically interested in candidates with an affinity for the natural and

Duties:
You will serve as a Librarian in the US Military Academy (USMA) Library,
West Point, NY. You will support faculty, cadet, and curriculum of one or
more specific academic departments as well as collection and resource
development, process improvement and innovation, and public services and
facility support. Engage with faculty, cadets, and staff in the assigned
academic department to develop strong collaborative relationships. Keep
faculty informed about library programs and services. Provide support to
cadets and faculty through library public service points. Recommend
selection of materials, including monographs, journals and other digital or
multimedia materials. Initiate orders for materials. Assess quality and
physical condition of the subject collections. Assess databases and other
electronic products and recommend purchase or license as appropriate.
Participate in process improvement to better serve patrons. Monitor and
report on the condition of facilities.
