Check out our latest Global Jukebox Records releases: Today marks the release of "Roll and Go," a spirited collection of Caribbean sea chanteys and sailor songs recorded by Lomax in Grenada and Carriacou in 1962.

The album features fourteen numbers (ten of which are previously unreleased) used for boat-launching, boat-pulling, and sail and net-hoisting by the fishing-folk of Grenada, as well as to accompany their funeral wake games.
Also available is Singing at the Ship Inn, a portrait of a single night's folk-singing and step-dancing session at the legendary Ship Inn public house in Blaxhall, Suffolk, recorded in 1953 by Alan Lomax and Peter Kennedy. Both digital-only albums were compiled by Nathan Salsburg, Curator of the Alan Lomax Archive.
We are pleased to announce that our YouTube channel — AlanLomaxArchive — has reached over 10,000 subscribers and well over 4 million views! We're very excited that so many friends and fans have been able to watch and enjoy Alan's videos and recordings, and we've loved reading everyone's feedback and seeing people connect with the material. As some of you may have read, Bertram Lyons, our Dissemination Manager, and Digital Assets Manager at the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center, answered readers' questions in a three-part New York Times column "Tips on Archiving Family History." It’s a wonderful resource for anyone who may have questions about doing their own media preservation.
Finally, many thanks to all who participated in our eBay sale. The proceeds, like all donations to ACE, were used to sustain and expand our ongoing programs. With your help we continue to find meaningful ways to make the music and videos in the Lomax Collection available to the communities that made them through our Repatriation Projects and Teaching Resources.
