Unfortunately, Mac is as bad or worse about changing the OS in a way
that renders existing software and hardware obsolete. I don't have a
good answer; Linux seems like a good idea at first glance, but the
application software we need isn't there. Does someone make an XP shell
that works inside a Linux wrapper?
Funny thing, when Ampex introduced the AG-440 it didn't mean all the
350s, 351s and 300s out there stopped working.
