Hi Corey:
First of all, GTK about SoundForge 11. As we've discussed, all of us XP users may need to "upgrade"
soon enough anyway. I'll tackle that when the time comes. I looked closely and didn't see any
"improvements" in SF11 to warrant spending upgrade money. I'm happy with SF10, which has what used
to be CD Architect built in.
Returning to my original querie, I've used Nero and it's so-so. I stuck with ancient Roxio because
it had an easier interface and it seemed easy to edit CD-TEXT stuff (I like to burn CDs with CD-TEXT
because both my car players recognize it, plus my Denon and Tascam professional CD players and
recorders, not to mention most computer players and good-quality CD rippers).
It turns out there is a free add-on to dBPowerAmp that burns CDs, and it burns them quickly and
reliably (according to several test burns yesterday), but it has no ability to add or edit CD-TEXT.
Now, regarding DVD-Audio, does anyone work in that format? I'm not finding any good ideas except
DiscWelder. It might be such a fringe format that no one else messes with it.
