We bought out the entire orchestra floor at the Chicago Civic Opera House
for a Belafonte concert c. 1970. then resold the tickets to help raise money
for my dad's legal bills after an encounter with HUAC. I saw that concert --
people called James Brown the hardest-working man in show business, but
after that evening I'd have to disagree.
