Tom,
I would highly recommend a Technics 1200 that has been modified for 78
playback by KAB. You can purchase one directly from Kevin, or find one that
hasn't been abused and send it to him, which might be more cost effective.
I have three tables myself, and have used the same one to digitize
approximately 10,000 78s over the past three years without a hiccup. Rock
solid speed control, great specs, truly a workhorse.
