Hello:
Wasn't there a program on the last day of ALISE recently on cataloging
education topics also?
and question I have as I read is why can't more be made available to
everyone everywhere
ONLINE somehow too --if the goal is to invite as many as possible
-face to face and virtually
somehow...
just some thoughts also as i read the questions...
lots of variables factor in to these questions -locations of people, etc
I plan to be at ALISE and ALA Midwinter this January 2014 --much more
easily too since
it is in Philadelphia -the same state I am in now.
Many ALA programs are offering shorter on site meetings / panels
timewise in person
and there is a growing trend to do more online as most of you know too
I hope that this group can also plan ahead some type of virtual
component as well
with advanced notice as much as possible so people are aware of it happening
I think it is very important to try to include as many people as
possible - no matter where they are geographically
Thanks for your posting on this, and I hope more can be done virtually
too for everyone
Best regards,
Karen Weaver
