Dear Edu-Catters,





There is a group of us organizing the next Biennial Cataloging Educators 
meeting. The first meeting was held at ALA Midwinter 2012 in Dallas. The 
goal of the meeting is to bring together cataloging educators and 
practitioners for a conversation about cataloging education, continuing 
education, and training. We would like for as many cataloging educators to 
be involved as possible. Even though the meeting has been tentatively 
scheduled for ALA Midwinter 2014 in Philadelphia (due to the fact that the 
ALISE conference immediately precedes it), it has been pointed out that 
more educators are likely to attend ALA Annual 2014 in Las Vegas rather 
than ALISE or ALA Midwinter.  I would love to hear from each of you about 
this matter. Were you planning to attend ALA Midwinter/ALISE and/or ALA 
Annual next year?
