I agree with you completely - it would be consistent to add $2 naf when
using an unmodified LC/NAF place name in 370, and I can't think of a
reason not to do it. We do it for 373, and we add $2 lcsh for 370, 372
and 374. It would also help us when we come to link this data properly
in a post-MARC environment, to identify which data in existing NARs
should be linked to which source.
I asked Paul this question when we discussed the issue earlier in the
year, and I'm sure the answer was that $2 naf would be appropriate once
this change was made. Perhaps it can be considered for inclusion in the
draft DCM pages along with the corrections that you list.
