When and how did you find out about this Shai?
I feel awful. I first got to know Mike about seven years ago when I met
him at an AES conference. Shortly after I bought one of his custom ATR
decks. I went out to his place to pick it up and for a special training
class. His wife was just as lovely and nice as he was. When he was in
town in Rochester for the ARSC conference he came back to my place after
one of the days to see my studio and my wife and I took him out to
dinner. We had a great time that evening. I knew something was up when I
called his place about a month ago with a question. His wife and the
other employee were very elusive about where Mike was. I didn't want to
pry but I felt something was very wrong.
Mike was a very important person in our field. A big piece of knowledge
and support has left us along with Mike. He was one of the most down to
earth and honest guys around. Gonna be a long day trying to ingest this one.
