Actually the Fisk Jubilee Singers WAS a group of college kids and they
were in awe of what they were doing, especially after Tim Brooks'
presentation of the history and historical recordings of the group. We
could never understand what was bugging their director. He only brought
over about 6 of the singers and then afterwards broke the agreement and
said he did not want the recordings distributed. Even the singers were
puzzled and quite disappointed that their recordings were not joining
the historical series.

Yes, that is why I prefer "open horn" events to bringing in "stars" and
their egos. Put the word out
to a decent local high school band. The kids will get a bigger kick out
of the event than any "star"
might.
