Working backwards through the mail list. Extremely disheartening to see 
so many posts starting with "RIP".

This is truly terrible news. Although I've known Mike for many years, 
and had a chance to catch up with him in Rochester, I never had the 
opportunity to make the visit we had talked about. His skill and talent 
with the Ampex ATR machines will most certainly be next to impossibleto 
replace.

My condolences to his family.
